Become an Examiner for GCE English
Become part of Edexcel’s 11,000 plus examining team and help over two million students gain their qualifications. By becoming an examiner, you gain valuable knowledge and greater insight into assessment which helps you to prepare your own students for their exams.
We are looking for GCE English examiners with teaching or vocational experience in any of the following areas:
● GCE English Language and Literature – Unit 1: The Spoken Word
● GCE English Language and Literature – Unit 2: Desk Study
● GCE English Literature – Unit 1: Drama and Poetry
● GCE English Literature – Unit 2: Pre-1900 Prose
● GCE English Literature – Unit 3b: Shakespeare in context
● GCE English Literature – Unit 5: Poetry and Drama
● GCE English Literature – Criticism and Comparison
Examiners tell us that becoming an Assessment Associate with Edexcel gives them greater insight into the national assessment standards. This helps to improve students’ examination preparation and increase classroom standards.
All examiners receive training and expert support through our standardisation programme and marking process.
