Description:	We have several opportunities in the West London area for secondary school science technicians. Duties include maintenance of laboratory equipment, large-scale preparation of experiments for classes, including measuring of chemicals, slide preparation, and laying out of equipment. Technicians are also expected to assist in the classroom. Some classroom demonstrations may also be required. Applicants should preferably have a university degree in one of the scientific fields, but must be proficient to at least an A-Level standard or equivalent. Professional laboratory experience is required, and experience working in schools is preferred. Candidates without a work experience in the UK will not be considered. The successful candidate will possess: A Science degree or equivalent qualification Gained experience within a school environment but not essential. To test, collect and clean examination apparatus To be able to liaise effectively in the event of a chemical spillage The ability to use own imitative and take responsibility where appropriate To set up practical's where necessary To prepare materials before lessons, issuing the right equipment to the right lab sessions An understanding and adherence of health and safety requirements
