Thamesview is at an exciting time in its development: last summer we produced the best GCSE results which have increased year on year for the last six years, our new £1.2 million Vocational Centre opened in 2006, and together with our college and business partners, is the outstanding vocational hub for other Gravesham Schools and we are in the first wave of the “Building Schools for the Future” programme in Kent.
 
Thamesview School is looking to appoint an innovative and enthusiastic Teacher of Humanities with Geography as a specialism to join us in September 2008.
 
We are looking for an exceptional and imaginative teacher of Humanities to join this large and successful faculty. The department is committed to active teaching and learning for all students. We value creative and innovative ways of developing Humanities. The post can offer a very supportive faculty that promotes working collaboratively.
 
If you are passionate about Teaching Humanities and have the ability to inspire and excite students in this subject, we would be interested to hear from you.
 
 
You must have Qualified Teaching Status in the UK, or an equivalent overseas qualification with UK teaching experience.

  • An excellent classroom practitioner
  • A proven track record in displaying effective classroom management
  • An ambitious person who will be ready to lead the faculty in the future
  • Demonstrate the ability to work well within a supportive team
  • Possess a flexible and creative approach to the subject
